The Microsoft store in Palo Alto, California will be showcasing 3D Printing this weekend with MakerBot's popular Replicator 2.  The Replicator 2 is an FFF 3D printer available with either one or two extruders.  It has a healthy 11.2" x 6.0" x 6.1" build envelope and uses 1.75 mm PLA filament to avoid curling (warping caused by rapid cooling more commonly associated with ABS).

How prominent is MakerBot?  With clients like NASA, MIT, Gulfstream Aerospace, Intel, GE, Sony and numerous major universities and libraries, it's safe to say the company has made a name for itself.

You can see a Replicator 2 in action this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) at the Microsoft Palo Alto store, in the Stanford Shopping Center next to Bloomingdale's, across from Juicy Couture, near the Apple store (smirk).  The street address is:
