3D Systems and Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. are entering into a strategic alliance to distribute the complete 3D Systems printing product portfolio through Konica Minolta's network of dealers and authorized resellers.
According to Kevin Kern, the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Konica Minolta in the U.S., the agreement is a natural fit for both companies.
"Our goal is to arm our nationwide, exceptional sales organization with the cutting-edge products and services they need to grow their businesses and gain a competitive edge. By teaming up with 3D Systems, the recognized industry leader, and offering the most comprehensive suite of 3D printers, materials and services, we're able to do just that," Kern said.
Konica Minolta is now taking the plunge as they enter the emerging 3D printing market. They say the plan is to focus on high-growth industries such as manufacturing, industrial, healthcare and education applications.
Among the initial products Konica Minolta plans to offer from 3D Systems are, the ProJet® 3500 Series Professional 3D Printer and the ProJet® 660 Professional 3D Printer.
