3D Systems has announced the immediate availability of its new ProJet® x60 series of 3D printers.  Incorporating 3D Systems' ColorJet Printing (CJP) technology, the line uses 3D Systems' new VisiJet® PXL materials.  Each ProJet x60 model can accept STL, VRML, PLY, 3DS, FBX and ZPR file formats as input.  They run on Windows® 7 and Vista®, and allow tablet/smartphone connectivity through the Print3D app.

Two of the models, the 660Pro and 860Pro, break new ground in terms of photo realistic output, offering over six million unique colors in a single printed part.

“These exciting, next generation color printers embody 3D Systems’ commitment to democratize access to powerful and affordable 3D printing solutions for professionals, educators and consumers, alike,” said Michele Marchesan, Vice President and General Manager, Personal and Professional Printers for 3D Systems. “The new ProJet x60 series builds on our innovation heritage, leverages our expanded line of 3D content-to-print solutions and enables users to create more, faster."
