Avante Technology specializes in developing advanced 3D printing technologies, and now they've just released a new device; the Fabricatus Advanced Electronic Controller Board for Desktop 3D Printers.

It's a high performance controller board designed to support both single and dual extruder FDM printers, digital displays and Wi-Fi communications through the use of an ARM Coretex M3 CPU capable of supporting real-time, multi-tasking operations.

Configured with six motor drivers, the board can handle the necessary computing power to operate sufficient stepper motors to control two extruders, and it's designed for easy installation and support of future digital display and Wi-Fi options.

The board itself is compact at only 4 inches by 6-1/2 inches long by 3/4 inches high and it uses ribbon cable connectors for easy electrical installation.

Capable of running on either 12 volt or 24 volt power, the components and circuits of the Fabricatus are properly grounded to prevent frying the board in case of component failure. The device also supports open source firmware and it's based on an open source hardware design to run open source "Smoothie" firmware.

The company plans to offer an enhanced firmware suite running on a custom RTOS designed to support more complex operations. Pricing and Availability: List Price is $299.00.
