Aleph Objects' 3D printer brand LulzBot has announced its first annual LulzBot Education Giveaway in conjunction with the White House Science Fair. The company will be donating over $30,000 to classrooms and libraries in the form of 20 desktop 3D printers. Applications must be submitted no later than Sunday, April 5, 2015 at 11:59 MST.

Accredited grade schools, community colleges, colleges, universities and libraries qualify for entry. Additional requirements include:

  • Own an educator-operated physical space with access to a computer.
  • Have an idea of how you would integrate a LulzBot into your curricula, classes, or projects.
  • Believe in sharing resources and knowledge to build and make things.
  • Encourage the use of Free Software and Open Source Hardware.

Winners will receive either a LulzBot Mini or LulzBot TAZ 5. They will be selected by the LulzBot team after the submission deadline and notified by email.
