MakerBot has moved and expanded its production to a larger, 50,000 square foot facility in Brooklyn, NY. MakerBot currently employs 100 "productors" tasked with building MakerBot Desktop 3D printers and they intend to hire another 50+ employees at their new location within the next few months.
Located in the Sunset Park district of Brooklyn, the MakerBot Factory officially opens its doors on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., to invited guests and media. The state-of-the-art facility increases production and warehouse space to meet the growing demand for MakerBot 3D printers.
