Sculpteo, a leading service provider and e-retailer enabling artists and designers to sell customized 3D printed objects directly to consumers, will sponsor a character art based 3D printable design contest awarding $15,000 to the winner, with second and third place honorees earning cash awards as well. The contest is one of four design competitions – engineering, jewelry, abstract art and character art – culminating with award presentations made at the 3D Printer World Expo on Jan. 31-Feb. 1 in Burbank, Calif.
"Sculpteo offers an online 3D printing service that artists can integrate into their online retail stores, empowering them to monetize their work," explains Bob Titsch, content director for 3D Printer World Expo. "We couldn't be more pleased that they are sponsoring this contest and exhibiting at the show as we're producing a special education track for artists who want to learn more about modeling and monetizing 3D printable designs."
Sculpteo provides an online 3D printing service for both consumers and business customers. Its 3D printing Cloud Engine eliminates the need to use third parties to promote, market and manufacture goods which are directly delivered to customers.
