Beijing Tiertime Technology says the global launch of their new desktop 3D printer, UP BOX, is targeted at professional and educational users and represents the third iteration of their UP Series of desktop 3D printers.

A natural evolution of the technology used to create the UP Plus 2 and the UP Mini, the UP BOX features a larger build volume of 10" x 8" x 8" and an increased print resolution of 100 microns.

The UP BOX prints at speeds up to 30% faster than the UP Plus 2 and boasts innovative new features such as fully automated platform leveling and nozzle height detection (using a probe), a complete enclosure with air filtration system to minimize operational noise and fumes, an ABS build surface to improve first layer adhesion and Light-Pulse functional LED mood-lighting to indicate ongoing print status.

These new features are integrated with UP's famously easy-to-use software which includes Smart Support structure creation. The unit also comes with an industry-leading, 1-year limited warranty and service agreement.

"Our goal is to be the most reliable provider of 3D technologies and solutions to our customers around the world. The UP BOX is proof that we meet the needs of professional users and demonstrate Tiertime's continuing leadership in 3D technology," said Tiertime's General Manager, Guo Ge.
