   An enclosed printer instead

   The honest answer if the machine is not bought yet: a Centauri Carbon costs about what an open printer plus a decent enclosure does, and seals better than either.

   The fabric tent

   Comgrow and Creality sell the same idea cheaply: fire-retardant fabric over a folding frame, up in ten minutes, holding the 40 to 50 °C that stops ABS warping.

   The IKEA Lack build

   Two stacked side tables, acrylic panels and a weekend of printed brackets. The plans are free; the acrylic costs more than the tables.

   A grow tent

   More liters per dollar than any purpose-made tent, with ports in the wrong places and no fire rating at all.

   A vented cabinet

   The end state: sealed, ducted out a window, and quiet. It costs more than most printers unless you build it yourself.
