Budget
Open source, vanilla Klipper and a direct-drive 300 °C hotend at a price where rivals still ship PTFE liners and closed firmware. For somebody who wants to own and modify the machine rather than rent it from a manufacturer, this is the cheapest honest entry point.
It needs a first tune, support is thin when something breaks, and something eventually breaks. Sovol publishes no warranty term that could be confirmed and no noise figure, and there is no enclosure, so ABS wants an aftermarket box.
Best at: Open firmware and standard parts at the bottom of the market.
Worst at: Support, which owners describe as an email lottery.
